Flag Football

We offer "touch" flag football for ages 4-6. Our objective is to provide a fun environment for our little tykes where they will learn the fundamentals. Good educational habits, teamwork, dedication, and commitment are stressed to all age levels.

Playing Season

Practice will begin Monday, July 9th at 6:30pm.  Practices will be held Monday – Friday from 6:30pm – 8:30pm until schools starts.  Once school starts practice will be held Tuesday – Thursday 6:30pm-8:30pm.

Our game season consists of a pre-season jamboree, a 10 game schedule, and then concludes with conference playoffs. The conference championship is typically held the weekend prior to Thanksgiving.  All regular season games are generally held on Saturdays.

 

 

What is included in the cost of registration?

Included in the registration fees for flag football are a mouth piece, t-shirt, game socks, and shorts.

What other costs are there?

In addition to the cost of registration, there are other costs that you may incur over the season.  Examples are below, but may not be all inclusive.

Game day drinks/snacks for team

Entrance to Quarterfinals thru Playoffs and SYFC Cheer Competition $5

 

 

What else does a player need?

Players are provided a game shirt, game socks and game shorts they will need items for practice / game day.

Cleats (non-metal, non-screw)

Plenty of water for practice.  Remember it is hot out there and hydration is important.  There will be plenty of water breaks to ensure the players stay hydrated.

What happens if it looks like rain or is raining?

Football is played in almost any weather, so we practice football and cheerleading in the rain. You need to always bring your child to the field.  If it looks like it might rain, STAY WITH YOUR CHILD. DO NOT LEAVE! In the event that practice is cancelled before 6:00pm, please check our website under the news section or our Facebook page. You may also call 727-799-5230 and listen to the recording.  If neither state that practice has been cancelled, you should report to the field and stay with your child.  The CJT board may not cancel practice until after 6:30pm.  Again, STAY WITH YOUR CHILD!
